The guard of the sword is solid steel with a thick quillon, winged arms, and diamond. The steel blade looks nice, and has substantial weight. The steel blade is gorgeous and well-cut, and the hilt and guard (while painted sloppily) hold it tightly as long as you don't apply force to the sword. The stand it comes with is very nice and includes all the hardware you need to hang it, including drywall mounts if you use the nails instead of the screws.

One side of the hilt is not painted as well as the other, but it is done very well for display purposes. The steel blade is heavy steel, and the handle is plastic and hollow. The two little nubs that come with it you just manually screw into the holes and then gauge how it fits the sword. It is great to buy and re-paint yourself. The paint job is very shoddy, but if you are wanting something to personalize somewhat by repainting the hilt, grip, and pommel.
