It is the only pens that write faithfully on sheet protectors and can be completely erased. It is easy to wipe off with cloth and a tiny bit of window cleaning spray or use a little water and some elbow grease.

These would be perfect for larger surfaces, just not for plant markers. It is great for garden markers because the color doesn't bleach out in the sun. The pocket clip on them is actually a separate piece that falls off rather easily.
