The edelbrock air filter's material feels more premium than its price would suggest. This filter adds a good 3 " between the carb and hood, even though it says 2 ", the neck adds about another 1/2 " and the wingnut may take away a bit of space as well. On the down-side, the air cleaner assembly comes with a small tube at the bottom for your pcv ventilation hose, defeating the purpose of "filtration" if you decide not to use a pcv hose.
