The sound without pedals is great and very eerily reminiscent of as stated above a marshall plexi with pedals its godly. This amp is more for the old school sound from bands like ac dc and van halen. It can do very reasonable renditions of a JTM, JMP, and JCM. The rubber feet on the bottom of the head sit nicely on the top of the ORI212 cabinet.

While it doesn't have the gain of the EVH it has plenty for classic rock style music especially with an overdrive pedal. It just has a steeper learning curve than most. This head is an inch wider than the ORI212 angled cab. It is perfect for metal music.

It will play out of any ohm speaker but matching the ohms always makes the best sound. The stomp box is actually of the metal, solid kind. It looks so cute, until it wants to bite yours off. There is a button on the back of the amp you can lower the voltage for recording with.

The power handling of this head is too low for this cabinet. It does indeed sound great and also make a combo version with a 8 inch speaker. The clean channel sounds really legit, beautiful even.
