This material when cold acts a lot like cellophane, it doesn't bend or conform very well and its wet adhesion properties arent great. It has a white backing sheet that has to be removed before using before using. It does stick to painted metal. It is pretty forgiving also, as when cool you can pull it off fairly easily and then some heat will allow you to remove wrinkles and try wrapping the piece again.
