This is a great tool for driving in wood screws. It's powerful and can easily drive 3" deck screws. The "hex" driver is the 1/4 locking (collet) chuck which has been re-engineered with a hydraulic mechanism, overall a better performing tool. It hammers with gentle, surging pulses which tighten or loosen more effectively than the old anvil type, with less risk of breaking fasteners. It has enough for driving screws and moderate lag screws.

The ergonomics are nicer than some of the older milwaukee designs for impacts and drivers and it’s actually pretty great feeling in hand with a decent balance when using slim pack batteries. It is amazingly quiet and powerful and easy on the battery.
