It's as bright or a bit brighter than a fresh-cracked glowstick, and it's sized like one, with a little clip on the top. It's great for hanging in a tent, buzzsaw signalling, map reading etc. It includes a nice little caribiner clip too. It will only turn off once the batteries are drained or if it is twisted into the off position.
