This is a handy record of how Walt Disney achieved a major cinematic breakthrough at a time when cartoons were mostly 5-10 minute light two-dimensional visual displays without much in the way of story-line or efforts at verisimilitude. The book's use of stills, roughs, and concept art vividly illustrate much of the "magic" that goes into making an animated film.
