It's written for piano so the songs sound really good. There are not as many songs in the piano as in the vocal selection. The songs with more singing are a lot more satisfying to play/ listen to.

It is essentially all of the previous three volumes of the LOTR solo piano books stuffed in to one epic book plus the added arrangements of "Concerning Hobbits" and "The Black Rider. This last volume brings the entire trilogy+ together and provides resolution. The arrangements are lovely but not simple or easy.

The book contains excellent transcriptions for the piano and you will like the vocal parts so you can decide if you want to play the vocals or the accompaniment. The music is very good and fairly easy to play if you're an average player. It's also cool to have the lyrics and translations to songs. The arrangements are good and true to the originals and are intended for intermediate to advanced pianists. It's a must for all LOTR lovers.
