Beautiful, accurate, informative, and reliable, it has made the going easier through many strange cities to many remote places in North America. The national geographic maps nice map is capable of outshining several other products featured in this list in overall features in its price range. If you do any backcountry activities in this area, it is a must have. This is an all-around great map. It covers a massive area so even though the maps are huge (and impractical for pocket access during hiking) it provides poor detail. It also shows a trail to the Garden Parking Lot (just below Johns Brooke) that is no longer maintained or passable. It's made from a heavy water-resistant paper and has held up well being carried around through rain and snow without much protection.

There are no trails marked on this map for the Seward Range, Santanoni Group, Allen Mtn, Cliff Mtn, Table Top, and a few others. The water resistant paper and print quality are top notch and it refolds fairly well.
