These laminated maps are wonderful, tough, waterproof and beautiful. It includes detailed topographic trail maps for all of america’s top national parks. As usual the map is a nice heavy waterproof material that can hold up to the elements and general beating a map takes when on multi-night backpacking trips. It is well enough for driving and very resistant.

This map is typical Trails Illustrated with high quality paper, with an adequate legend and area tips in the margins. It is compatible with a full utm grid. The recommended hikes with their intensity and length is a nice addition.

It has very dark shading that makes reading contour lines more difficult, and its 100' interval simply provides less overall relief information. It includes trail summaries including length, elevation gain, hiking time and difficulty. This is a great resource for your awesome hiking adventure.

This is a fantastic overview of the spectacular Grand Teton National Park backcountry including the Alaska Basin (which is actually National Forest technically outside of GTNP) - probably the only map needed for hiking the trails. It is easy to find roads and trails that may not be shown in detail in other resources.

If you want nothing less than best desirable map, then this product is the one you should definitely consider. This is a very good set of maps that should cover all your needs for the Smokys. The large scale (whole park) map is good for trip planning, and it still has enough resolution that you could carry just it for a long hike, such as a section hike of the Appalachian Trail through the park.

These are accurate, comprehensive maps beautifully printed on ultra-durable stock. They are coated so dampness/wetness is not a problem and they stand up to lots of unfolding/folding. It does show roads outside of park boundaries.
