The teac double cassette deck is the best convenient product on the market today. The Absolute Best Cassette Player Recorder is Manufactured Sound Is Amazing. It is essentially the tascam 202 mk-vii without the "wings" for the rack mount. It functions the same as the timer switch on any other cassette deck. It is built with some very good features.
This dual cassette deck is a very fine unit. There's a volume control only for the headphones, so you'd need to control the volume on the speakers connected to the light out. This machine works flawless and the recordings are crystal clear for analog.
Why We Like This:
Plays wonderfully and transfers them to the computer as they were recorded
Usb 2.0 (full speed) standard compliant
Solidly built with some very good features
You can make dual recordings from line in or microphone

The teac cassette deck's material feels more premium than its price would suggest. The Teac is a very nice cassette player/recorder. It offers convenience and affordability in a format no longer cutting-edge but still widely used in cars as well as portable and home stereos. It only has Dolby B noise reduction, but that is fine considering that there are (or almost were) no commercial tapes made in Dolby C or DBX anyways. The display and controls are all logical and easy to read.
It does all it needs to do looks good and functions well. The plastic pieces related to holding the doors closed are very delicate. This would make a great deck if you are transfering your old cassettes to digital.
Why We Like This:
Useful if you want to transfer your cassettes to cds or dvds
