The noodler's ink great black ink is suitable and reliable and fits well with your daily purpose. It comes as a bit of a shock that an ink that dries as fast as the Bernanke Blue (REALLY FAST) would be as wet as it is. It is great black ink for general office use. It would take forever to be able to turn pages and when writing notes in a meeting or classes that could be a hard thing to live with.
This stuff just runs out of your pen like a thoroughbred at the Belmont Stakes. It works well for a lefty using a lamy safari. They dry fast and flow smoothly. The color is very dark when you use it and isn't spolotchy. It would take a long time to dry or never even completely dry. For any use-on-the-go, even making travel notes or appointment entries, this is a must-have.Why We Like This:
- Very dark, smooth-flowing, and dries "instantly
- Very dark ink that dries quickly
- Stops the smudge and super dark
- Nice color, dries fast, but very wet

Next on the list, we've got yet another ink that manages to win our hearts. It's the noodler's ink noodler eel ink and it's widely considered as ink that has the most suitable features. It is part of the noodler collection of inks. The color is really, truly black, with none of the colored undertones of other blacks. It can be used in an old esterbrook lever fill pen. The ink lays down wet but dries quickly to a black that is wonderfully rich with grey wool tone. It has a little character and shades varying with how much you put down.
The color is a nice black, dark, and black. There's some decent water resistance, not quite as tough as heart of darkness or any real bulletproof ink, but it's actually quite reasonable. It can really only appreciate the shading with medium nib or broad. Why We Like This:
- Flows well and has a nice black color
- Definitely one to keep in your stash of inks
- One of the new comers and featured product

The noodler's great ink might be a relatively new release, but it's still nothing short of impressive this year. This red is a very pure red with no hint of orange, and it is brighter than say Visconti Burgundy. It writes smoothly, dries quickly, and has decent shading. This produces a deep, dark red. This ink is much brighter than it actually is. It flows and cleans nicely as well. It is an ordinary color compared to noodler's extraordinary colors. This is a nice happy red, not too dark. This writes in a Lamy Safari Fine almost exactly the color on the monitor. Why We Like This:
- A deep, dark, rich red ink
- Good investment for long term
