The three previous non-modular NYKO Xbox chargers have all worked flawlessly. It is a black dual charger that restes on top of the xbox and plugged right into the side of the charger. The controller is two modules together and can be expanded to more modules by popping off a cover and hooking them together. The controller is easy to mount and remove on the charger, the LED display light is simple,flashing when charging, and stays on when fully charged.

The charger needs to be away from the TV and game console to avoid irritating flashing light during charging. This cover is VERY tight to install over the rechargeable batteries, so it takes some dexterity and strength to pop it on. It is so easy to sit them in the stand. The modular design is great for adding more in a line.

For a low asking price, nyko charge station has managed to overwhelm their customers by packing as many features as they could. It takes up the 2 USB ports available on the PS. It does block BOTH USB ports, but so does charging two controllers at one time. It charges quick and it's not hard to get the controller to sit right to let it start charging. The light in the front will light up as a white light when the controller is charging, so if both chargers are charging then there will be two lights on. They just fall into the slots which makes it very easy. It takes both USB ports to use this. It is ideal for someone who often plugs in headset receivers or standalone mics.

Although it is convenient to swap out batteries from the controller to the dock, this setup is only useful for one controller, as the nyko battery packs last less than half the length of regular AA batteries, and die far too frequently. It takes 15 seconds to swap out the battery and you're back to kicking arse and chewing bubble gum. It is good for extended play or more than one movie.

The charger will actually stop charging them when they're full so thats nice that you wont have to worry about over charging. It is also allows for charging without any USB cables. It is perfectly and indicates the light when its fully charged and when it's charging, easy to connect to the dock, this setup is only useful for one controller, as the nyko battery packs last less than half the length of regular AA batteries, and die far too frequently.
