Wb Games offers a variety of game for personal choice and yet maintaining quality in all the variants. It's quite the spectacle and occasionally you'll lose a fight as you gawk at the macabre theatre unfolding throughout the various backgrounds. Once you're done with the story mode you can play the traditional arcade format where you move up the ladder of fighters until you fight the boss, or you can practice different fatalities, or just practice against a dummy opponent in practice mode.

There is a simple controller mod for an Xbox controller that will make the D-Pad as-good-as the PS3 controller. A practice and tag team practice mode are included, both allow just that practice without getting into the actual challenges and/or tier fights. The replay value on this game is very high even without Multiplayer.

This is the first truly 3d mk game that makes full use of the 3d environment. It has intricate interesting characters, unbelievably cool combat moves, detailed backgrounds and good quality sound. This mode allows you to learn more about fighting styles, read up on each character's personal history, and gain koins which can then be spent in the krypt to unlock a host of new characters, costumes, and early concept drawings.

This game keeps the fighting styles of the characters alive and expands upon them by giving each character three fighting styles. The controls using the digital pad are decent and quite fluid, but use of the analog stick is disabled. For example, pushing up on your controller makes you sidestep your opponent's attacks, yet it also allows you to jump by tapping up plus a direction.
