The orion e-series zoom eyepiece allows you to change magnification power without swapping out eyepieces. It is ideal for locating an object at low magnification, then quickly zooming in to higher magnification for closer inspection, all without changing eyepieces. It provides a continuous magnification range of 57x-171x. The build quality is like a higher end eyepiece.

The orion is a lighter and has a better eye guard. It comes with that combo that you can really crank out the maximum zoom capabilities of your telescope. It looks nice, it feels nice and it works nice. The orion is made from a very nice value in a quality zoom eyepiece.

The orion luxurious eye relief's superior materials makes sure that it ages well with use. If you're looking for one or a set of 2" eyepieces at low power for a 8" dobsonian, the q70 series will serve you well and won't break the bank. This is a very nice budget-conscious, low power/wide field eyepiece. The center 50% of the field is quite sharp, while the outer 50% has moderate, progressively worsening coma in a fast Newtonian.

The globular in Hercules is pretty small and fuzzy, as is the Barbell Nebula. It is made with machined housings, fold-down rubber eyeguards, and chrome plated barrels threaded for use of 2" orion eyepiece filters. This piece is well made, with crystal clear optics. The Luxurious eye relief and parfocal design provide comfort and convenience. If you are looking for a lower magnification with wide apparent field of view, this is a great eyepiece.

Orion has been making great eyepiece for years, thanks to a combination of clever design and appropriate materials. This lens is useful when viewing distant planets. It features a long 20mm eye relief for comfortable with or without eyeglasses. The eyepiece fits a telescope diagonal or focuser that accepts 1.25" eyepieces. It's equal to the telescope's focal length divided by the eyepiece's focal length.

This eyepiece is also very large and heavy, so you would have a hard time holding that smaller scope still. It is very good for lunar / planetary viewing. The reward is excellent for the cost, expecially for viewing. It is one hefty lens additionally it is perfect for nebulae as well.

This eyepiece can help zoom in on planetary objects using your Starblast 4. The Edge-on eyepiece design eliminates barrel distortion and field curvature commonly seen in standard eyepiece designs. If you use it with a barlow lens it will give you 300x magnification and that is pushing the image quality a bit. It's designed for exceptional planetary and lunar viewing.

The details of the moon make you feel you're in orbit and it's that sharp. The maximum magnification your telescope can achieve and have a good image is about 228X. The orion eyepiece might be a relatively new release, but it's still nothing short of impressive this year. There may be sharper and faster 6mm eyepieces out there with wider fields of view, but you're going to pay at least $50 more, and probably much more, for that. This eyepiece gives great views in telescopes of all focal ratios because it incorporates additional lens elements that the 15 and 20mm linemates do not have. They are significantly better than the eye pieces that come with the telescope and they fit fine. It also has a wider field of view than the Plossls.

The orion pro lanthanum zoom eyepiece should be able to handle its purpose and duties with ease. Being parafocal is also a nice benefit The Orion has better glass inside than the Celestron. It is made from lanthanum glass. It has a wide field of view and comfortable eye relief. It provides smooth magnification adjustments in any weather conditions.

The eyepiece is parafocal through out the zoom range so no refocusing. It is clean, crisp images free of color fringing. The extendable eyecup is ok, so it could use a nice soft edge to block stray light. This eliminates the need for multiple eyepieces and there is no expense.

This 63mm Orion Sirius Plossl eyepiece is ideal for all types of telescopes. It offers a 52 apparent field of view for clear, sharp views of impressively high contrast. It comes with tight eye relief, and a limited field of view, but even so, it is better than expected with this short focal length. It comes with the 2x barlow so you will effectively alter the optical path of light produced by the scope so that all of your eyepieces when used with the barlow will give you an image equal to 1/2 of the listed focal length.

This eyepiece will produce the most usable high mag for that scope. Your scope has an aperture of 90mm thus the usable mag would be 90 x. If you really want to zoom in close to the stars and planets this will do the trick. This is a very good eyepiece for high power work on planets and the moon.
