Osprey makes beautiful and great valve with classic and smartly choosen materials. There’s definitely a plastic flavor but it’s worth it to have the ease of a bladder when hiking. These reservoirs have a great top design that allows you to open them up completely and turn them inside out to clean and dry. The magnet is nice to keep the mouthpiece positioned out of the way to remove the resevoir and the magnet bite valve holder is awesome. It features to improve handling, reduce weight and simplify operation. There is a quick-release fitting on the tube midway between the bladder and the bite valve which makes it easy to separate the tube in half at that point, if that does you any good.

It is made for light and fast activities where weight and balance are critical. The quick disconnect on the hose makes it easy to use, so you dont have to unthread everything to remove the resevoir and the magnet bite valve holder is awesome.
