It is made from solid sk-5 high carbon steel for a sharp edge that lasts longer than xacto but that really doesn't matter. It is packaged in a nice case with an oil-soaked piece of paper which keeps them from rusting. They fit the standard exacto knife and good clean cuts from these blades. They're very thick as well, it's hard to put the blades in the handle for use.

The paper folds up sits nicely in a plastic click top container that also comes with the blades. They are nicely oiled and corrosion free. They are less polished and slightly thiner than xacto but that really doesn't matter.
