K Scott Parks makes beautiful and great map with classic and smartly choosen materials. Having sampled many parts of the SoCal PCT in the last 20 years this is totally awesome for preparing longer hikes or taking with you. These maps are perfect for the PCT. They're a perfect balance of size and weight. It features but they also tell (in feet) what the 3 biggest climbs are on the map, sweet and sweet. The trail trace is very detailed and accurate.
These books have tons of detail (sometimes it is hard to read because there is so much info,) and are easy to use. It has maps at three levels of detail. The maps are great, they are clear and detailed. It is used for fire starting.
