It's quite tall and has a lot of great info on it. The Pacific Crest trail wall map helps identify where the trail is taking you. It measures 18" x 48 and has a trail elevation profile along the edge that shows the peaks and valleys along the way. It has an elevation scale on the side that corresponds with each area of the pct.
This map really shows you what you are getting into. It's rather large being 18"x48" so it's rich with detail. It's beautifully detailed and provides a decent overview of the entire trail. It is great for family and friends to keep track of where you are in relation to the whole trail if you're doing a thru hike or large section hike.

Brian Johnson offers a variety of map for personal choice and yet maintaining quality in all the variants. This book deserves more attention from upcoming thru/ section hikers of the pct. It's small and compact, comes with a nice waterproof cover, and gives a good amount of information without overwhelming the greenhorn. The binding is stiff like any other new book, but after a few reads, you'll break it in.
This book is different, it is small with a protective cover, lightweight, and can easily be snugged away in your pack somewhere. It's a good book to read and it can help you prepare yourself for what to expect on the PCT, less the roaming animals and mother nature.

This book has great maps with information about each town. It has created a series of 11 easy-to-use topographic map guides which together, cover the entire length of the trail at a scale of. It includes a detailed topographic map and a trail profile that shows the distance between camping areas, and trail access points. The elevation profiles are quite useful in understanding quickly how difficult a climb will be.
These maps are very fun to look at while taking a break or at the end of the day, sketching out your travel for the next day. They give a good sense of your surroundings. It is waterproof and a joy to look at. It is very non-intuitive to flip to the back of the booklet when you get a new map.
