We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a headlamp. This product is exactly that - it's a simple product that hits all the right notes. This is a nice lightweight and powerful and well made headlight. It features two beam patterns (wide and mixed) to meet your need for high-performance lighting for outdoor activities. The back doesn't snap to the front quite right and leaves a tiny gap. The headlamp material does not exactly " feel " heavy duty, so durability will be determined over time and use.

Its reflective headband helps you to be seen when a light is shone on it, and is equipped with an emergency whistle for rescue situations. Its bright level is quite bright, but the Myo does not need as much to do the same job, and lasts longer.

It has one button that cycles through three power settings. The light dispersion is brightest in the center and fades to the edges. The low beam is perfect to just see book pages. It uses 3 AAA batteries that should get you comfortably through two nights on the medium setting.

The elastic strap IN THEORY can be removed for washing but it's difficult to remove it from the light housing as the openings that the strap passes through are super tight. It’s just as good for reading in your tent as it is for getting around the campsite or hiking. It is a great reliable headlamp for when you need it.
