Protec Backpack Strap

Not everyone likes to purchase strap for their daily usage, but the protec protec backpack strap would be an anomoly. This backpack strap is a very useful add-on to the Protec Contoured Alto Sax Pro Pac /Protec Contoured Tenor Sax Pro Pac. As far as the ergonomics and wearability of the straps IMO these straps work great with the Protech case. These make carrying the Pro Tech French Horn case very easy. It does get heavy with music at times.

It is convenient for freeing your hands in order to carry more stuff to the gig or take your sax on a bike ride but the clipping system at the top make the strap somewhat uncomfortable in the long run. The shoulders could definitely use a little bit more padding. These are not made to take your horn on a multiple day hiking trip, but are perfect for walking or biking through town or between classes at school.

Why We Like This:
  • Leaves your hands free and evens the load on your shoulders and back
  • Easy to install, comfortable, and very solid
  • Well made, very convenient, fits great, comfortable, very adjustable
  • Good padding, attaches easily, comfortable to use

Protec sax Case

The protec sax case is satisfactory and appropriate and fits well with your regular usage. There's a small amount of space inside the case to fit a mouthpiece and some reeds, without using the exterior pockets which bulge outward. It's perfect for storing smaller accessories and is also big enough to fit a flute case. There's a separate spot to put your crook (neck) and mouthpiece inside the case and keep them nice and secure.

There is also another velcro piece holding the two parts of the handle together. There's a zipper going around the entire main sax case plus a velcro flap in the front. It is designed to be locked, only to protect the horn. This is to help securely close it without having to zip it, nice if you're playing but want to move the case around without zipping and unzipping all the way.

Why We Like This:
  • Will hold a lot of accessories nicely
  • Has three methods for carrying this light weight case and storing music
  • Great for hauling the sax around
  • You can drill holes into the zipper handles and padlock them together
