The top of the drums with PureSound snare are total sweet spots from the center out to the edges and everything in between Highly recommended. It comes with that increased sensitivity, though, and comes a whole lot more buzzing on the harmonics after a strike, particularly if you strike off-center.

Aside from the fact that the Custom Pro clearly has an edge on the Custom because of the convenience it affords based on the snare straps included, this package is great. These are great-sounding but still generate more buzz than standard wires. It will make your snare drum sound better, no matter what drum you put it on.
