Next on the list, we've got yet another crane that manages to win our hearts. It's the maxxhaul receiver hitch crane and it's widely considered as one of the best convenient crane you can buy. It features industrial grade hydraulic rams that raise the hitch the same amount as the tailgate is raised. It is designed to lift heavy things up, swing them away, then lowering. The two legs are adjustable to account for the differences in height of the hitch. It doesn’t reach very far into the bed so the load needs to be manhandled after setting it down on the bed to get the tailgate shut. It also gives additional support to the crane extension.
The 6 inch lift and 37 inch tires raise the hitch the same amount as the tailgate is raised. The load must be balanced when you lift because you will want it to be level when you swing it into the truck and set it down. There is a protective bag for the two bearings on the bottom of the finished yellow part. It is a good idea to put a bottle jack under the hitch of your truck before you load it, or you may find that you have trouble getting this disconnected when the truck suspension sinks down from the weight of the load in the bed.
Why We Like This:
Well-built, helps you handle heavy weight easily
Easy to put together and take apart
Style crane that has a flat mount plate to bolt to the truck floor
Really helps taking the 5th wheel hitch in and out

The hft receiver hitch crane is the best suitable crane on the market today. It can easily lift loads to 1000 lbs. The steel boom extends up to 33-1/2" to 53" and the base swivels to help you get the best angle when hoisting items onto the truck bed. The hoist has pre drilled holes at the base. The angle iron bolts to the bottom of the bed and through the base of the lift is enough to lift the couple hundred pounds needed. The boom will hit the top of the shell as you rotate the generator on to the bed of the truck.
It has liquid that weights 11lbs/gallon so it would be able to lift it. It is very necessary to reinforce/brace the base to bed frame to avoid tilting danger under load conditions.
