If you want nothing but a head that is reliable, this evans reso head for tom is certainly a right investment. It is a vintage kit, and the music needed for the Tom's to be dampened but still have tone and warmth. It has a great blend of attack, tone, and sustain, without too much of any one element, making them versatile for many styles of music and types of drums. Somehow this combination on a late 60s/ early 70s thin shell kit works well, with warm tones and very little additional overring or volume control, but still has a dynamic range.
These drum heads are durably made and the sound is great. It features a single ply of 10mil film blending a bright tone, sustain and articulation while featuring expressiveness and durability. The projection and sustain is great and completely controllable depending on how you tune them.
Why We Like This:
Works great and gives the retro feel, has a darker tone
Definitely more suited towards a low-end, fat audience
Excellent for reso heads (havent tried as beaters) gives a rich, full tone

We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a convenient and appropriate head. The remo reso head for tom is exactly that - it's a simple head that hits all the right notes. If you're wanting something in vintage faux animal skin tonal and visual range, try the Remo Skyntone or Fiberskyn line. It is made with two free-floating plies of 7-mil mylar film, which gives consistent open warm tones which accounts for their popularity among many of today's studio, pop, r&b and rock drummers. It is great as all of the remo drum heads are.
It is constructed with 2-plies of 7-mil coated film, and emperor coated drumheads provide a soft feel and subtle attack for studio and live applications. It reduces the sound after sound after a strike. They are pretty loud and very resonant. It's very versatile.
Why We Like This:
