If you own one of those see-thru color edition n64 units, particularly the purple one, this controller would be the perfect companion. This controller is a wireless rendition of the singular N64 controller. It comes with systems and hardware to support the nes, snes, and genesis entertainment system, and retro-bit serves as a connection to the past. It works very well, and the analog stick is very good as well.
This is a 2.4 Ghz so for PC/Emulator, you need to have the dongle connected. It draws power directly from the controller port. It is an outstanding controller for emulation and for use with an N. The Joystick is a little sensitive ( not perfect, but good but better than all the other aftermarket controllers out there.

The retrobit version controller is capable of outshining several other products featured in this list in overall features for the price point. It works great with Nintendo 64 straight out of the box. The controller has a solid feel to it and has no noticeable lag playing games. The controller comes with the wireless receiver for the n64 plus a usb receiver to connect to computers and the switch. The controller is programmed, all of the buttons will work correctly including the c buttons. The controls are reconfigured so that they are more ergonomic than the original controller.
The Joystick feels modern and solid, but still has an 8-way gate so it can be pushed into the 8 corners like on a real N. The analog stick is similar to the stick on the GC, which is a good thing. It works well in game and also comes with a rumble option.
Why We Like This:
Having a dedicated wireless dongle also gives you superior connectivity

A must for retro gaming on a raspberry pi
Really good controller, works perfectly with original n
