The mad catz rockband 4 two guitar is specially designed for your daily purpose and has all useful features. While not all the songs in Rock Band 3 support keys (and no dlc prior to RB3's release), you can play non-pro guitar and bass parts using the keyboard in Rock Band 3, so the keys player isn't completely left hanging. Using two hands does make activating overdrive and sustain/whammy somewhat challenging, because the overdrive port does not currently function (software problem to be fixed in the near future) and your only option is the button and pad on the neck. It's brand new.

The Pro-keyboard feature is interesting as it includes real notes as they would be played in a keyboard, but it's really difficult to follow up as you have to see the screen then see your hands position in the keyboard. Not too big on the guitar but the drums are fun. It even comes with batteries.

If you have RB3, buy this instrument. It's fun if you can only use one hand.

This brings co op to a whole new level and requires the rock band dongle. The guitar is pretty plain looking, even compared to guitar hero guitars and the neck is just one color. The fret buttons are flush with the neck and nestled directly next to one another, with each button being as wide as the distance between two frets on an actual guitar. The buttons work fine and its responsive but the speed is difficult to match on the harder songs with such an weak and flimsy strum bar.

The in-game functions are what set it apart though allowing for change of style during solos and the small buttons at the bottom are much more function-able than the touch pad of its guitar hero counter part. It is a gift to complete the package for rock band.

If you have a big fan of kiss or just want a really cool looking guitar get this one. It is as big as the RB 2 guitar length wise but just a bit smaller width wise. The frets have a good feel to them, smooth action, no sticking and not loud at all. You can choose to play the guitar option with it but its better and more fun when used as a bass guitar because your hand will sit comfortably and you can strum up just as you would when playing a real bass guitar.

The wireless function is amazing, meaning it's completely responsive. It is on top of the body instead of behind the base of the neck. The buttons are different than a regular guitar controller but it is still fun to play. The guitar is well built.
