Next on the list, we've got yet another head that manages to win our hearts. It's the remo side drumhead batter and it's widely considered as head that has the most suitable features. If you're a Jazz or rock player these are a great set of durable heads. It has experienced a drum circle, jam or performance that knows the transformative effect of rhythm. It works well as 80's rock to add to that it is great for studio recording. It has a dual ply head which makes it quite durable and the coating as well of course gives it more so.
This head just sounds great everytime. It does have a nice darkish lowish tone. There is a definite clarity, almost a personality it gives the snare and yet, it does not ring or become affected by other drum/instrument play. It is an interactive community tool that promotes wellbeing and life enhancement.

Best part: evans drum head costs comparatively low and it is available to ship in 24 hours. This head sounds just as good if not better than a Remo Renaissance. It is a drum head for the underneath (bottom) side of a snare drum. It features a single ply of 7.5mil film that offers an open and airy tonal quality. It offers ease of tuning, increased focus and articulation. Wider tuning options result in higher levels of responsivness and resonance, giving you the confidence to tune your drums high or low. It works fine for a thin snare side head for concert or quiet, sensitive snare drum playing.
This head is perfect for orchestral use. It has a nice medium tone, PERFECT for band/orchestra situations.
Why We Like This:
Responds well under soft press rolls or articulate sticking
Expressive with all popular snare strands
Hissy" snare response in a way that would be great for orchestral use
Thin single ply has an open and airy tonal quality

Hydraulic series heads take much of the guesswork out of tuning, all while giving you the fattest and roundest sounding tone. The revolutionary evans level 360 drum head technology is found in the proprietary collar design that extends the level playing surface of the drum head 360 degrees around the drum. It adds depth AND “snap”, with just the right hint of overtones, while maintaining a strong and “beefy” tone.
This head turns an inexpensive snare into a killer rock snare. It comes with a little more tension so you can get the sound of lars, portnoy, peart, and trivium. The 2 layers plus the oil in between the layers takes out nasty overtones so you can tune it any way you like. The hydraulic snare batter is always cool when you want that super fat, down-tuned sound. The head is solid and feels good to play loud or soft.
Why We Like This:
Extra durable because its 2 layers
Has a nice, thick, meaty sound
Great for the classic mid to late 70s deep tom & snare tone
