Both knipex and Channellock are great, Knipex are a little more portable and easy to handle, while Channellock's will probably never break. The 10 inch grips will allow you to get into tight places beneath a sink in the bathroom or the kitchen or anywhere else that a up to three inch diameter pipe exists that needs some sort of turning. The locking mechanism, the main point of pliers like these, is very smooth and easy to use.

This Channellock is made very well, the grips on the handles are really nice and easy to clean grease off of. They grip onto whatever with such ease. The teeth are superb, even better bite with less marring of the surface of the item you are grabbing. The handles are superb, more ergonomic, and thicker.

The channellock first set is satisfactory and appropriate and fits well with your regular usage. This set has both an 8" plier and a slightly larger 10" plier. It bites plumbing pipes without knawing through with the standard teeth, but yet, the grip is even better. They grip good with the jaws that have a cross hatch pattern which is a bit different than the old straight teeth they had before. The speed button to adjust these quickly is really nice.

These are made in usa of american steel and each has a comfortable pvc covered pair of handles for a solid grip. It is easy to reach into awkward or tight spaces. The button allows you to adjust in very small increments and is much easier than the typical way of adjusting. These are tongue groove, so the teeth match up.
