Not everyone likes to purchase handle for their daily usage, but the stanley good set would be an anomoly. The heavy leather case is great for storage and keeping the blades protected. They hold an edge for pretty long and easy to sharpen. Aesthetically speaking, They are beautiful, light in the hand and are ground so precisely that each width requires only minimal flattening and honing before use. The steel is perfect as it sharpens nicely but holds its edge nicely too so you can certainly pare with it, to an extent, and not struggle after a few whacks between paring. The leather roll is a nice plus and it has grommets at the top corners so you can hang it on the wall. Each chisel also comes with a cap to protect the edge.
They are easy to sharpen, hold their edge reasonably well, and are very comfortable to work with.Why We Like This:

The sweetheart line socket chisels are based on the classic 750 design, which is arguably the best stanley chisel ever made. The handle is rock solid. It has thick side lands, which is a disadvantage when cleaning out dovetails. The balance and feel in the hand make them a joy to use.
It is on the smallish side but functional and comfortable to hold. It will need to be sharpened and the back flattened prior to use.Why We Like This:

The irwin socket chisel handle is specially designed for your daily usage and has all useful features. The chisel blade and socket are one piece made from the same metal. They polished to a mirror finish with a 12, 000 grit waterstone, and cut endgrain pine like butter, leaving a glass smooth surface. All the chisels come with a slight hallow on the back and fairly close to flat. They also sharpen (less sharpening more honing on the high grit stone) very nicely and hold an edge nicely. The backs of some of them are flat enough that it only took a couple minutes to get them seriously flat enough to use.
The blades come sharpened but coated in a very light lacquer/enamel.Why We Like This:
