Facial expressions in the story-mode close-ups are creepily realistic at times, even given the usual anime stylings. It takes a LONG time to get the hang of this, but it is incredibly rewarding once you've done so, because it eliminates the "tennis match" style (DailyRadar's term) prevalent in so many fighting games.
This game has so many beaytiful characters and ways you can win. It has full 3-d movement, a rather necessary countering system, and overall it's a more interesting game. The time and survival modes are very fun and add longevity to the game.
DOA2's controls include a button called "free", which must be understood and mastered before this game can be any fun at all. The game also makes use of the arena. On the down side, the stories are virtually nonexistent and the story mode is very short and you can finish it all in a day or so.Why We Like This:
