The celestron zoom eyepiece's superior materials makes sure that it ages well with use. As a simple zoom eyepiece it is quite nice, but keep in mind, it has limited zoom. It allows to zoom from low to high power in an instant with this versatile eyepiece. It is great for zooming, but will not replace a good set of eyepieces. It is also helpful when observing venus or bright terrestrial scenes. It is nice to be able to easily find planets and then zoom in on them, rather than switching out eye pieces.
