The pokey little puppy christmas is the best book ever written. It's a Golden Book Christmas classic and they are still nicely made books. This is a children's book, and while obviously some children's stories have deeply embedded messages in them (Mother Goose, to name one), this story is not one of them. The book is made with the finest of thick paper and the finest cardboard that money can buy. The art work is very amateurish and looks nothing like the earlier books.

The book is carefully crafted with hours of blood sweat and tears poured into it. The pages are easy to tear so of course you have to watch little ones, but the little ones really enjoy the story. This is a lovely Christmas story about giving and sharing.
