If you often find yourself scrambling for convenient and suitable stick, this product is your solution. It’s near a tussles and bridge, and it’s not uncommon to run into crack addicts and stuff down. The military uses infrared cyanalume glow sticks with this that can only be seen when used in conjunction with a night vision device. This one, you can actually see the chemicals mixing to create the light and are intensely bright. The wire is to attach the device to the platform. The best part is at night if you retreat closer to the main base, you can see this in a distance.
It is advertised as a silent alarm of sorts, but if you tie a noise maker to the striker (tin cans, jingle bells) it becomes audible and visible if used creatively. They can be used for advanced warning in both military and civilian use.

The cyalume light stick might be a relatively new release, but it's still nothing short of impressive this year, thanks to multiple price cuts and added new features over the past few iterations. It is an orange military grade chemical light stick measuring 6" long, for providing instant ultra-high intensity 360 degree illumination, that can be seen up to a mile away for up to 5 minutes in optimal conditions. It is made from low density polyethylene (ldpe), and is phthalate free for safety. It is individually foil-wrapped for protection from light and moisture, and has up to a two-year shelf life from date of manufacture.
The light stick floats in water and works best between 40 to 80 degrees f ( 4 to 27 degrees c), and although the light stick works at higher or lower temperatures, it is less effective in colder temperatures. It has a hook and gate top, for hanging or attaching the light. It is used for safety, industrial, and military applications.
