It is perfect for winter outdoor activities like hiking, mountaineering, camping, skiing, snowboarding, climbing, and ice sports. It is allows for a layer of leggings/thermals, but not thick pants. The lining is fleece and cozy. The belt is very rough and rubs on the skin. The back of the waste will slide so far down, it will pull all but the highest waste underwear down with it.

They are waterproof, even on the knees which is a different fabric from the rest of the pants, and the zipper pockets are definitely useful. It is great for walking outside in wind and splashes. These pants are great for moderately short rides, maybe less than 40 minutes. It is accompanied by an elastic waistband which features velcro latch points for showers and proprietary suspenders. It provides visibility in low light conditions. The only draw back is that the pants will make you sweat which defeat the purpose of staying dry in a way since you're sweating. It is absolutely non breathable.
