It is great pen for marking off your grids on aida cloth, and it washes out in warm water with a little dawn almost instantly. It's kind of too chunky for some purposes (absolutely fine for just marking cut lines), like marking sew lines on grain, and it just ran out really fast. It works really well, super easy to wash off, no trace left on fabric. It wipes off with a damp cloth or can be machine washed.

These mark and show really well when sewing, but 2 cycles through the washer and they are still visible on the material. The pencil leaves a good line initially and without using too much pressure and would probably be a good choice for sewing clothes or other such projects.
These are good and transfer pretty good to batting and material. The Light Blue and white marks remove easily with a brush or damp cloth. It is great for marking material.
