This controller improves upon the already fantastic elite series 1 in core ways. It looks better and is well made. The face buttons (and to some degree the home button) are an interesting "glass like" smooth shell but their sensors do not attach properly to the control chips. Programming is easy and it is also a very durable controller. The ability to customize and change to your preference is a breath of fresh air, and the paddles on the back can be used differently for different games.

The controller comes nicely packaged in a zippered case, where it rests on a removable charging cradle and has slots for the various parts and accessories included. The charging stand is magnetic (strong), you can charge the controller directly, or set it on the charger, or there’s even a little slot for the cable to go into the case and charge it while it’s closed.
