The maurice franklin louver 2 inch vent screen is satisfactory and appropriate and fits well with your regular usage. These aluminum circular louvers are a very good product. It is superior to the plastic variety. It fits in a 2 inch round hole. A sheet metal nibbler might give you a nice hole without warping and otherwise messing up the facial panel. It is important to hold the drill steady when drilling the 2" diameter hole as wiggling enlarges the hole so that the press-in fit is looser.

If you can make a round 2 inch hole in your metal you can stick this in there and it has little metal tabs that will hold it in place. It is perfectly snug and no need for any caulk. It is angled just so that rodents cannot find their way into your attic and home. It is a bonus that they have the built-in insect screens.

Why We Like This:
  • Good quality vent, stay in place, screen keeps bugs out
  • Great little vents for animal pens and coops
  • Experience with removing them in other material such as aluminum
  • Easy to install, fits tight in a hole drilled with a 2" hole saw

Maurice Franklin makes beautiful and great screen with classic and smartly choosen materials. It fits well into the hub of a 2" pvc fitting. It fits well into the hole made by a drill type hole saw and are held in place by knobs on the side. It can get very cold in the wintertime and the metal contracts enough that a few are falling out each year. It is used for ventilating soffits and eaves, insect cages, display cases and spice racks.

You can cover vent holes for less money, but these look great if they are visible above a patio, and they fit snugly into a 2" hole. The screens are pretty stiff and would probably work fine.

Why We Like This:
  • Easy to install and look great
  • Great product to protect soffit holes from birds, etc
  • One of the new comers and featured product
