Any standard flint is a special kind of ferrocerium, these are standard flint material, their formula is different from the ferrocerium rod used for starting a camping fire. They fit well into zippo lighters. They throw a nice big spark, but the wheel feels "slick" when you spark it with normal pressure, resulting in you needing alot more pressure on the wheel than a name brand flint to throw a spark.
