Mapex has been making great arm for years, thanks to a combination of clever design and appropriate materials. This stand will hold virtually any contemporary cymbal. It's got a hardware store wing nut to hold the cymbal on. It's pretty sturdy. The Boom Arm is very short compared to other stands, and is smooth, so you really have to crank down on the tighteners to be sure it doesn't rotate. It comes with all mounting hardware and is very simple to put together.
This is a beautiful stand. The stand is well balanced at the base, & supports any (standard) cymbal, especially splash.
