The nintendo d game in 1 has killer features for the price point. It has all pokemon unlike another pokemon game. It's amazing and a must have for any pokemon fan or anyone looking to get into the series. It's basically the same game as those versions with a few minor tweaks to the story regarding a new 'Legendary Pokemon' or 'Ultra Beast.

It still has pokemon, they still need to be caught, and you still need to farm the heck out of those SOS battles to get pokemon with perfect IVs. These powers can increase experience and aid in battles.

The changes in the story make things feel a bit fresher, and the post game story feels a bit simple, but it's quite fun going through the Rainbow Rockets, who are actually pretty tough, and quite funny to read their dialogues. The ability to choose from so many different Pokemon at the start of the game allows you to experience the adventure with different types of Pokemon. To round it all out, there's a consistently smooth framerate the entire time, which is impressive considering how crisp everything looks, and a feat that no 3DS entry of the main Pokemon franchise has managed yet. It really improves on Gates to Infinity in that the Pokemon are very diverse, rather than all from Unova as before.

The plot is amazing, the turn-based battle system is unique and superb, and the recruit characters are all nice possibilities. There is a good amount of "oh no ANOTHER dungeon" throughout the game as you play. The music tracks throughout the game compliment the areas you traverse respectfully and beautifully.

If you end up fainting, you can even rescue yourself and continue on through the dungeon, which is a useful feature when attempting difficult dungeons. This is a fun game as always, with more fun characters to meet, fun gameplay and a fun story to enjoy.
