We are personally inclined towards orion high quality eyepiece, it is not so pricy, but it overachieves its purpose and outstanding in important aspects. If it's inside the useful range, it can be a good lens for looking at planets and the moon, but for deeper objects like nebulae and galaxies, you'll probably want a larger lens for viewing. The Orion Apex 102mm telescope has a 1300mm focal length and highest useful magnification of 204x. It has a fairly standard 2” opening. The eyepiece fits a telescope diagonal or focuser that accepts 1.25" eyepieces.

Actually there are more than 3 eyepieces of this collection, the best view for high magnification is the 6mm, for medium magnification the best one is the 12.5mm. This is a high quality eyepiece. The reward is excellent for the cost, expecially for viewing.

It features a long 20mm eye relief for comfortable with or without eyeglasses. It is a hefty lens and it is perfect for nebulae as well. What you need is a decent set of "goldline" eyepieces which are clones of the orion expanse eyepieces, the optics are the same. The Edge-on eyepiece's flat field design ensures sharp focus all the way out to the edge of their wide. If you use it with a barlow lens it will give you 300x magnification and that is pushing the image quality a bit.
