The look and feel of this eyepieces are consistent with the high quality we're used to from the rest of Orion's lineup. This eyepiece is perfect for hunting distant galaxies, planetary nebulae, and diffuse nebulae. It will give a nice view of deep sky objects within the resolving power of the scope. The larger 2 inch size gives comfortable, low power, high-contrast views of the night sky.
This eyepiece is heavy duty with quality construction. The center 50% of the field is quite sharp, while the outer 50% has moderate, progressively worsening coma in a fast Newtonian. It is good for viewing up closer, but deep sky objects will be dimmer. This piece is well made, with crystal clear optics. The image is sharp and crisp for such a wide view.

A very nice budget-conscious, low power/wide field eyepiece The center 50% of the field is quite sharp, while the outer 50% has moderate, progressively worsening coma in a fast Newtonian. It is a great view on this eye piece. The views are very clear even for looking at the moon for such a wide eyepiece.
This eyepiece requires a 2" focuser. The 5 lens wide angle 70* degree design gives excellent visual quality both color correction and flat field. The long eye relief makes this eyepiece useful for finding faint objects then getting them centered for another X eyepiece. This lens would not be as attractive when looking at planets and other solar system objects. It will allow the user to scan larger portions of the night sky, and, hopefully, find deep sky objects (DSO) that otherwise might be elusive.

This eyepiece gives great views in telescopes of all focal ratios because it incorporates additional lens elements that the 15 and 20mm linemates do not have. The expanse series eyepieces are built quite well and provide a great wide field view with a longer focal length so you don't have to struggle to look through them. It does manage to give a wider field of view with just a bit of distortion out toward the edges. It fits all newer scopes and also comes with orion scopes.
It's a 1.25 inch eyepiece almost all telescopes accept this eyepiece. It will fit a 1.25” eyepiece or a 2” eyepiece with an adapter. It is pleasing to look through and it has a decent ergonomic size not too big for the task. It is a wide field of view and enough eye relief so that you don't have to squint through it, instead you look through this eyepiece if that makes sense.
