These are one piece "rubber band" style tracks, made from flexible styrene. The kit itself looks great with nice detail.

The tamiya another great kit has killer features for the price point. Because of complex running gears, it's a bit of a demanding kit. This is Tamiya's 300th armor kit and it's an accurate reproduction of the Matilda mk. It gives the patterns in the back. The detail is fabulous and the whole kit is fun to put together.

Matilda's running gears does have that antiquated feel of early 1940's design, but it's beautiful in a steam punk kinda way. It offers you several paint scheme options so you can customize it for a particular year of use or region. They also make a much smaller 1/48 scale version which is less than 5 inches in length when complete. This is a lot of fun to build.

It provides a lower parts count and does lend itself to an easier and sometimes more enjoyable build.

This gives extra smooth rotation for movement of tracks.

It can be used on the m60a1 + tanks as a bolt-on kit, that is spaced away from the main armor, adding additional dead air space for increased protection. The ONE big assembly difference is that it requires "drilling" holes into the body so that the external shields can be attached. This is barely painted and left in desert warfare colors with some personal touches.
