The eyepiece is a must have addition for your daily purpose. It gives a nice range of magnification. It is finished, tracking by hand at high magnification is made far easier with a single multi zoom eyepiece. It features a 40 to 60 degree field of view and 15 to 18 millimeter eye relief. It is compatible with any telescope that accepts 1.25” eyepieces. It is fast and easy, and lets you examine any object at various magnifications without requiring you to physically change eyepieces.

It’s really a great zoom eyepiece. It is a little heavy and a bit stiff on the zoom function.

Why We Like This:
  • Nice clear lens for a telescope
  • Saves changing several lenses to work down to the power
  • Very good eye piece for a begging amateur astronomer
  • Amazing eyepiece with excellent views of the night sky

It can be good to only carry a single eyepiece. It allows to zoom from low to high power in an instant with this versatile eyepiece. The Inch 3x barlow lens (black)achieve a closer view of lunar and planetary objects by tripling the magnification of your telescope eyepiece, ideal for astro-imaging. It allows for expanded magnification options for 40 to 60 degree field of view, 15 to 18 millimeter eye relief with fully multicoated opticscelestron 93428 x-cel lx.

The eyepiece is well made and nicely finished with a smooth zoom mechanism. The ability to zoom on the fly makes keeping the target in the field of view incredibly easy. The particular advantage of this eyepiece is that it " zooms ", making this one eyepiece replace all the eyepieces between 8 mm and 24 mm focal lengths.

Why We Like This:
  • Comes in a nice plastic case that protects it well
  • Heavy and well built with excellent clarity
  • Very convenient and fun to use

The highest power Omni 4 mm eyepiece will provide 112.5X magnification–both will provide a closer view of viewing the moon's craters when good seeing conditions allow. It is designed for 1.25" eyepieces, or with a telescope designed for 2" eyepieces with an adapter. If the seeing conditions are calm and steady, the eyepiece will provide a high powered view.

The extendable eyepiece hood works great in keeping light from reflecting off the eyepiece when using it in a bright field. It is good for clusters like the pleiades or orion’s sword. The image is very sharp and crisp and colors and details of the planets are clearly visible with a stable mount. It can be effective for bringing out details on planets.

Why We Like This:
  • Great quality of view, heavy and durable materials, feels good in hand, excellent fov
  • You will get 180 times magnification
  • Very clear with good eye relief for comfortable viewing
  • A very good, relatively inexpensive eyepiece

It works great with glasses. It is of much higher quality than the lesser eyepieces, that usually accompany a new telescope. The body rubber ring on the eyepiece rotates the rubberized eye relief ring out of the eyepiece. The magnification frames it almost perfectly with the wide field of view while allowing for brilliant details of the surface to be made out. There is a clear, single point where the image clicks into focus. It can be a little straining after hours of looking through it.

It comes with your new telescope, most all manufacturers will include 1 to 2 eyepieces, usually of lower quality, and most always at or near 52 degrees, to 56 degrees, afov. A rubber grip keeps the eyepiece securely in your hands, even when it’s cold or you have gloves on.

Why We Like This:
  • Great wide flat field of view
  • Eye relief is nice and comfortable
  • Lot of satisfied buyers

If you often find yourself scrambling for convenient and suitable eyepiece, this product is your solution. The Celestron 19mm Luminos eyepiece takes a 2" filter, which works just fine and you will love it. It fills your view yet provides incredible detail. The eyecup is massive and extends out from the body by rotating a central ring. A rubber grip runs around the equator of the eyepiece, giving you a secure grip and an easy method for raising and lowering the retractable eyecup.

This eyepiece is a 2" one, and it's an essential product for a wide field of view. It's big (about the size of a softball) and very heavy. It has a design for great views.

Why We Like This:
  • Very good value wide view eyepiece
  • Very sharp and clear view over a exceptional wide field of view
  • Mediocre eyepiece, hampered by bright edge-of-field and blackouts
  • Optical astronomy is very rewarding when done correctly

We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a convenient and appropriate eyepiece. The product is exactly that - it's a simple product that hits all the right notes. The Omni 56mm 2" eyepiece is threaded to accept most 2 filters, including Celestron's UHCLPR Filter. It can become a low power wide-field 2” eyepiece with superior light transmission. It includes a removable rubber eyecup and a non-slip rubber grip ring. It provides sharp views to the edge of the eyepiece. It can be used in the Omni 56mm plössl to make this combination of low magnification and wide field of view possible.

The eyepiece’s main housing is machined from durable, high grade aluminum. It is also great for daytime viewing of panoramic vistas through longer focal length telescopes. It is threaded to accept 2" filters and is compatible with 2” star diagonals and focusers.

Why We Like This:
  • Knurled rubber grip ring for non-slip handling during observing sessions
  • Apparent field of view—a great combination of low magnification and wide field of view
  • Delivers what they promise
