This is the best long-lasting eyepiece on the market today. The Celestron 93230 8 to 24 millimeters 1.25 inch zoom eyepiece allows you to zoom instantly with your scope from 8x magnification to 24x magnification. It comes with a focal length of 8 to 24 millimeters. It is finished, tracking by hand at high magnification is made far easier with a single multi zoom eyepiece. It’s very sturdy and has pretty good eye relief.
This is a great eyepiece, it offers great field of view and it can be used with a t-ring for astrophotography. The convenience of doing quick zoom's to find and center on objects then hone in is really nice and for most planetary viewing this presents a pretty decent view. The Barlow will give all your other eyepieces additional life.
Why We Like This:
Eyepiece improves view with the magnification
Optics are very clear and bright
Amazing eyepiece with excellent views of the night sky

This zoom eyepiece makes it very easy and comfortable to dial in and view all the way up to 8mm when conditions allow. The best feature is under the removable eyecup and there is a t-mount which will allow you to connect your dslr camera to it (with a t-mount adapter) allowing you to easily take photos through the eyepiece. The barlow makes the zoom more like 8 lenses than 4, and is nice to take the telescope beyond its limits then back quickly if you can't get a clear image.
This is a 1.25" diameter eyepiece which is the same size that the 102az uses. The eye relief is nice and big making the eyepiece very comfortable. For beginners, it replaces 3-5 eyepieces and allows one to really find the proper mag.
Why We Like This:
Allows you to locate in wider fov, then focus on your target
Great for just looking at the moon, and them zoom in
Image quality is pretty consistent throughout the zoom

Compared with other products by Celestron, the celestron mm eyepiece has a convenient design. The X-Cel LX has an extra lens element to help with edge sharpness and illumination. It fits between the scope, and the eye piece. It comes with two or three elements. It's well constructed, heavy, fits really well which reduces the shakiness and the optics are beautiful.
It is very sharp and clear. It can be used in combination with planetary imaging cameras. The wide top is largely hollow. This will work fine for your 130mm 650mm focal length telescope.

The eyepieces that come with it are really cheesy and cheaply made. It is designed for 1.25" eyepieces, or with a telescope designed for 2" eyepieces with an adapter. The scope comes with a 90 degree star diagonal which puts the bird right way up but of course left is right and right is left with the star diagonal. The extendable eyepiece hood works great in keeping light from reflecting off the eyepiece when using it in a bright field.
The 10 mm eyepiece that comes with the scope is the highest power you can usefully use for bright planet viewing at 90x. There is a tradeoff point between image quality and brightness and in 6" aperture scopes this is not far beyond 150 power. The eyepiece will fit your focuser.

We know from years of feedback from readers, customers and amazon sellers, what most people want in a convenient and appropriate eyepiece. The product is exactly that - it's a simple product that hits all the right notes. With the right telescope, it is easy to achieve a high level of magnification without using a barlow lens. It is good for planets and small night sky objects. This eyepiece will fit in the focuser of an omni az102, its focal length is 2.3 mm. It provides fine viewing up to about 45mm. It can be used along with a barlow lens for even further magnification, although it might be considered somewhat unnecessary for practical viewing.
This is mainly a planetary and lunar eyepiece since it usually has such a high level of magnification. It would be good for big deep sky objects. It is a good eyepiece with a usable field of view.

Best part: celestron upside image costs comparatively low and it is available to ship in 24 hours. This lens (Celestron X-Cel LX) is a bit up scale and really powerful for your scope, like putting rocket fuel in a Prius. Though it has a less fov, this eyepiece is awesome in every aspect. It's equal to the telescope's focal length divided by the eyepiece's focal length. The eye relief nearly demands the user hovers outside normal viewing proximity.
The X-Cel LX 12mm will give you 233x magnification with your scope, that's a nice middle range, not too high magnification or too low. It's a bit big and heavy to use with a long barlow lens. It does have the threads to attach filters. This is an excellent quality wide field eyepiece.

The Celestron 93325 40 mm omni eyepiece ought to fit a starsense 8 " dobsonian without any difficulty, provided you use a 1.25 " eyepiece adapter ring. This 12 mm eye piece will give you above 100X magnification on your 4SE. It fits in an inch and a quarter opening.
The eyepiece gets the heaviest use with star clusters, mainly hunting globular clusters. The clarity and color rendered through the eyepiece is top notch. These are well constucted, solid feeling eps that are easily handled with gloved or cold hands. This eyepiece works well in the slower scope, where it gives bright, sharp images. It is great for viewing close ups of jupiter and saturn.
Why We Like This:
Great choice for planetary viewing on a night with steady seeing
More then enough to enjoy astronomy, great eyepiece, inexpensive
Contrast and field of view are quite good
Low power for finding and observing deep sky objects

Celestron has been making great eyepiece for years, thanks to a combination of clever design and appropriate materials. The Celestron Cheshire collimation tool will work on your Orion scope as long as you have a 1 1/4" eyepiece. It can help with a schmidt-cassegrain. The cross-hair focus automatically aligns to the centre of the secondary mirror (if it's aligned properly) and reflects the primary mirror target as well.
This Cheshire tool is like drum brakes on the back wheels of a car. It makes the process much faster thanks to the crosshairs. This will make it easier to see the edge of your secondary mirror while using the collimating tool.
Why We Like This:
Basic collimating tool needed for reflector telescopes

If you often find yourself scrambling for convenient and suitable eyepiece, this product should be your first option for buying. These EyePieces OPEN UP THE SKY to Stellar Levels. It looks solid, a yellowish spherical ball with a ring, amazing. A rubber grip runs around the equator of the eyepiece, giving you a secure grip and an easy method for raising and lowering the retractable eyecup. The views are crisp with no noticeable distortion from edge to edge.
These are nice EPs with a very wide view.

Next on the list, we've got yet another product that manages to win our hearts. It's the celestron luminos eyepiece and it's widely considered as product that has the most suitable features. The Celestron 19mm Luminos eyepiece takes a 2" filter. It's big (about the size of a softball) and very heavy. It's an essential product for a wide field of view. This eyepiece ( ep) gives 63x magnification, an apparent field of view of 82 degrees, a true field of view of about 1.3 degrees, and an exit pupil of 4.02 mm. The back of the telescope is a two inches with an 1 1 /4 inch adapter.
This eyepiece is a 2" one, works just fine and you will love it. It works fine with an 8se with a 2" visual back or diagonal. It comes with a 1.25 inch standard.
Customers say that buying a celestron len, along with eyepiece is useful.

Very sharp and clear view over a exceptional wide field of view
Optical astronomy is very rewarding when done correctly
With outstanding wide, clear, bright views, and convenient features like the adjustable eyecup

Celestron has been making great eyepiece for years, thanks to a combination of clever design and appropriate materials. The Celestron Crossaim Reticle Eyepiece with illuminator works very well and is very useful for both polar and sky alignment. It uses three 1.5V type L1131C batteries or their equivalent. The focusing portion of the eyepiece (to allow focusing of the crosshair reticle) is very loose (wobbly) in the eyepiece. The red LED is very persnickety, and generally works about half the time.
The eyepiece part is great for getting things nice and centered when doing some precision alignment with your telescope. It is still bright, but for drift aligning you only need to be able to track the stars movements in declination. The brightness adjustment works well. It is a must have for calibrating a finderscope and telescope.
Why We Like This:
Nice little alignment tool when adjusted properly
Very good device for telescope alignment with spotting scope
More neck wrenching or crawling under the scope for alignments
Illuminated cross lines are useful for centering stars in the fov

The celestron omni eyepiece's high-end materials makes sure that it ages well with use. This classic astronomical eyepiece features the very popular plössl optical design. It is a 4-element premium symmetrical plossl optical design. It includes a removable rubber eyecup. It will fit any 1.25” which is standard to the majority of entry level scopes. If you are looking to move up to a higher quality eyepiece the omni series provides more enhanced features in a wider selection of focal lengths.
It’s a 1.25” eyepiece, and the online specs for the Astro Master show that its diagonal accepts 1.25” eyepieces. It is also compatible with 1.25” star diagonals, focusers and barlows. It will be very handy for you in the future.
