The fogo green egg hardwood charcoal is suitable and reliable and fits well with your daily purpose. This charcoal burns extremely clean, has a nice size piece for long low and slow cooking. It is slow burning which allows the chicken or veggies not to burn. It is great for cooking when you want a low smoke flavor profile. It is easy to maintain a steady temperature in a ceramic grill like the green egg. It has no added chemicals and it is used to leave more ash.
The aroma is fabulous, pork tastes great. It is great for large pieces of 4 inches or larger to fill at least 80 percent of the bag.

There is actually a bag of charcoal in the box, but the box makes it easy to store and looks better. You don't need to use quite as much, as this burns longer, hotter and with less ash than traditional charcoal. There is a good mixture of large pieces and medium pieces with very few small pieces.
The size of the chunks is large, this helps it burn longer and keeps it from clogging up your grill. These bigger chunks light quickly and are also efficient. This typically does not contain much dust or small pieces whatsoever.

Basques Hardwood Chacoal has been making great charcoal for years, thanks to a combination of clever design and appropriate materials. This is REAL sugar maple lump charcoal and is wonderful with anything you grill. It maintains consistent temps, with almost no smoke, allowing your smoking wood to be the only thing that imparts flavor into whatever you're smoking. It has a heavy smell to the smoke and it allows for use of other wood chunks to add more flavor or smoke as desired.
The pieces vary in size and there are a lot of small chunks vs big chunks, but that is because it comes from real limb pieces and not leftover cut scrap lumber. It will simmer a long time for the slow roast or smoking. It will maintain consistent temps, with almost no smoke, allowing your smoking wood to be the only thing that imparts flavor into whatever you're smoking. It is used for water filtering.

The Binchotan charcoal is primarily being used for grilling yakitori and kushiyaki for its very unique characteristics such as very clean burning properties, no odors or smoke, long burn time and high constant heat. It is made from natural terminalia sericea tree grown in namibia. It is perfect fit inside yakitori grills.
This actual charcoal is used in most robata yakitori restaurants in Japan and S. Korea bbq restaurants and is preferred by many chefs. The natural cut wood is put in the kiln for 120 hours at extreme heat and then cools rapidly by covering it with a damp mixture of earth, sand and ash. This charcoal burns very clean to provide a premium clean odorless infra. It is a very long process and skill.
